Worth it if key features actually worked.
I spent the extra money on this device only to find out that despite its ability to connect to services on-the-go (Google POI search, weather, etc.

    On the right Track
Up to normal Tom Tom standard, the navigation system gets you where you want without fuss straight out of the box.

    A New TomTom GO
Yes, I’m a gadget geek. With GPS playing a major part. Past GPS include a Garmen Nuvi 350, Magellian Maiestro 3140, and a TomTom GO 720.

    Feature Packed Device
Device has excellent features. Accurate and fairly easy to use. Some items are missing. For example there is no altitude feature as on other devices.

Packed with (mostly) useful and fun features, endlessly customizable, and a couple of shortcomings.
This is a pretty amazingly feature-packed GPS that many people will find very useful with or without a LIVE subscription.

Some novel features, but some problems as well
Bottom line: The TomTom GO 740 distinguishes itself by adding a GPRS cellular modem that enables several novel features not commonly found in a GPS unit.

Great GPS Unit. Advanced Features. Easy Use.
I am not a GPS expert. I have used AT&T Navigator on my Blackberry, other than that, Im a GPS novice.
This unit was incredibly easy to use.
